On the steps named after Francesco Mazzitelli and Francesco Tumeo, close to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Portosalvo, the monument to the victims of all wars was inaugurated on December 8th, 2021. It is dedicated to 70 fallen Pargheliese soldiers and young people who gave their lives for their country, but also to all other heroes. On the occasion of the centenary of the Unknown Soldier, the Municipal Council of Parghelia, in addition to granting him honorary citizenship, dedicated a portion of the monument to the Unknown Soldier.
